Course Prices Per Person:

Kent Sailing School One Day Taster
£100

RYA Start Yachting Practical/Beginner’s Sailing Weekend
£195 per weekend
£550 for 3 weekends (booked and paid for together includes 5% discount)

Once you have completed the Start Yachting course, the Competent Crew course can be completed in three or four days.

The weekends do not need to be consecutive and you can book them individually or as a package (5% discount).

RYA Competent Crew Practical
5 day intensive course £450
£195 per weekend
£550 for 3 weekends (booked and paid for together includes 5% discount)

The minimum course duration is five days, but it is commonly run over three weekends or three days plus a weekend. If you have previously completed the Start Yachting course, the Competent Crew course can be completed in three or four days.

RYA Coastal Skipper Practical Course Completion/Exam
5 days preparation and exam (3 to 4 days of preparation and on the afternoon of day 4 exam starts - 6 to 10 hours for one candidate, 8 to 14 hours for two.)

(Can be split over 2 weekends as 2+3 days) £450

A course completion certificate can be awarded at the end of the course or your can opt to take an external RYA/MCA exam taking up to 2 days.

Note RYA exam fees for Coastal Skipper is £135 payable to the RYA examiner

RYA Yachtmaster Refresher Course
5 days and 5 nights (can be split over 2 weekends as 2+3 days) £450

RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Practical Exam
2 day and 1 night exam following practical course of 5 days and 5 nights – exam is 8 to 12 hours for one candidate, 10 to 18 hours for two £595

Notes RYA exam fees for Yachtmaster are £155 payable to the RYA examiner
