At Kent Sailing School our aim is to improve your sailing skills to a level recognised by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. There can be no better place to start your holiday or training than the scenic and picturesque South Coast and across the Channel.
We run training and sailing all year round, to suit all abilities from beginners up to Yachtmaster and Cruises in UK and European waters for individuals and family groups.
At Kent Sailing School our aim is to assist you experience the delights and challenges sailing has to offer, in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, suitable for beginners and experienced sailors. The only qualification required is a sense of fun and adventure.
For the absolute beginner, we give you the opportunity of being at the helm, hoisting the sails and working the winches of a yacht crewed by willing hands or by your own family and friends. Suzianna is a high performance yacht with teak decks and fitted out for comfort with three double cabins and two heads (toilets/showers). She combines an exciting sailing experience with a degree of luxury and is coded to the MCA/RYA standards for commercial cruising. |
We also provide you with a professional Skipper/RYA Instructor to ensure your safety. For those experienced sailors, your professional RYA Instructor will help you fine-tune and improve upon your sailing skills. (The pupil/Instructor ratio will not exceed 5:1).
Suzianna is maintained to the highest of standards and has on board all the safety equipment and navigation instruments required for offshore sailing. Lifejackets and harness are standard equipment and clients are asked to wear them whilst on board.
All you need to bring is suitable clothing for the seasons (multiple thin layers are recommended, remember the summer evenings can get rather chilly). Deck shoes or trainers (no black sole shoes please). Personal wash kit, towel, a sleeping bag, hat, gloves and sun/wind block packed in a soft holdall.
Accommodation, bedding, meals on board, fuel and mooring fees are included in the course fee.
Wet weather clothing can be hired for £10. Reserve a set when you book.
